Solea is a Mediterranean-inspired gin.
Made from wheat alcohol, a very elegant base, it is distilled in a Stupfler still.
After a maceration of juniper, fresh citrus fruits (pomelo, mandarin, orange and lemon), Tonka beans, timut pepper and a Mediterranean botanical bouquet (thyme, sage and rosemary), it is distilled to 83%, then reduced to 43% spring water, the degree at which it fully expresses itself.
Nose: Citrus and garrigue aromas blend perfectly with the elegance of Tonka. The nose is greedy and fresh.
Palate: a smooth-textured gin with a nice liveliness. The bitterness of juniper is balanced by the livelier bitterness of pomelo and the sweetness of mandarin. Timut pepper adds energy and Tonka bean a warm, gourmet finish.
