Where does Nikka Coffey gin come from?
How is this gin made?
Made from a corn distillate and a malted barley distillate in the distillery’s Coffey stills.
That’s why it’s so popular!
Miyagikyo, this gin, produced for the first time by Nikka, includes in its composition, in addition to juniper berries, a large number of citrus fruits (yuzu, kabosu, amanatsu, shikuwasa).
By tasting this gin you will :
Extremely fragrant, the first nose reveals with great acuity the lime and the orange blossom. With aeration, it evolves towards a more milky (coconut), planty (juniper), spicy (grey pepper, pink berries) and nutty (apricot) register.
Both lively and unctuous, the attack in the mouth reveals new aromatic plants (sage, verbena). In the middle of the mouth, citrus fruits and especially lemon as well as ripe fruits (apple, pear) took the ascendancy before being in turn covered by strong spices (star anise, grated ginger).
Bottle: 70cl
