The Gin Labouche #1 – Cap Ferret is distilled under vacuum, in Rotavap.
12 ingredients make up this airy gin. It is finely iodized, notably thanks to a distillation of oyster shells raised by Denis Bellocq of the Cabane du Mimbeau, while keeping beautiful vegetal notes.
A first nose slightly iodized and on the sea spray. Some citrus notes delivered by the timut pepper then give way to the power and exuberance of juniper.
On the palate, we find light notes of sea spray, a small minty vegetal touch, a touch of grapefruit. Lots of roundness.
The finish is long and very complex, the juniper is very well balanced and there is a pleasant lemon and pepper bitterness. It is a Gin with a strong and unique personality.
LaBouche #1 Cap Ferret, cut with a dash of sparkling water, makes a particularly mineral, lively and racy Gin-Tonic. It also brings a nice fresh note to the Negroni.
