Where does Amazzoni Rio Negro gin come from?
Arturo Isola, an Italian architect living in Rio de Janeiro and Alexandre Mazza, a Brazilian artist, met through their passion for gin. After founding the association Os Ginasticos, which gathers monthly to taste gin-based cocktails, they decided to create Brazil’s first craft gin distillery in 2015 in the premises of an old 17th century coffee farm. The fazenda is the emblematic place of Amazzoni. It is located in Porto Real between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
