Amazzoni Gin Maniuara is the latest addition to the Amazoni range.
Arturo Isola, an Italian architect living in Rio de Janeiro and Alexandre Mazza, a Brazilian artist, met through their passion for gin. After founding the Gins-addict association that gathers monthly to taste gin-based cocktails, they decided to create Brazil’s first craft gin distillery in 2015.
Although it is an innovation, Maniuara has lost nothing of its manual work, the quality of the raw materials and its passion for its territory where Amazzoni gin springs from: the forest.
100% handcrafted gin
100% made from natural plants
Alc. 38% vol.
Manuiara is the very first Old Tom gin from Brazil. Ancestor of the London Dry, this gin was very popular in the 18th century. Amazzoni knew how to bring it up to date.
Plants: Juniper, cereal, pink pepper, bay leaf, lemon, tangerine, coriander, cocoa, Brazilian chestnut, lemongrass, cipo cravo, maxixe and Victoria Regia
Tasting notes:
Profile:Following the complex and classic profile of Amazzoni gin, Maniuara goes a step further and makes a twist to its recipe with lemongrass.
Nose : delicate and fresh with an obvious lemon note thanks to the aromas of lemongrass and citrus fruits
Palate: At the first sip a delicate floral bouquet. Softer and sweeter, it masks the alcoholic base that other gins can have
Amazzoni. Less pronounced taste of juniper.
Length: Leaves a pleasant peppery and sweet citrus taste. A taste not so far from the so-called Maniuara ant: a delicacy endemic to the house – the Amazonian forest – and typical of the Amazonian cuisine.
