Where does Carmina gin come from?

Christian Drouin continues to explore new flavor combinations.

After the launch of Le Gin de Christian Douin in 2015, the only gin made from more than 30 varieties of cider apples and 7 aromatics selected for their perfect combination of apple and juniper flavors, Guillaume Drouin signs a new blend dedicated to red fruits.

How is this gin made?

Carmina is made according to the same principles as the original Le Gin; each flavour is macerated and redistilled separately to optimize the extraction of flavours. The distillates are then blended before bottling. This time the bouquet is summery. It combines flowers and fruits with the use of raspberry, black currant, elderflower, vanilla, lemon and orange in addition to juniper and cider apple varieties from Normandy.

The packaging of Carmina keeps the identity of Christian Drouin’s Gin, but with a carmine red color code this time to recall the dominant aroma of this new Gin particularly greedy with notes of raspberry and black currant! Produced in limited edition 8550 bottles only are put on the market.

To be enjoyed neat or as a gin and tonic, with a slice of lemon and raspberry as a garnish.
