Where does Blue Gin come from?
The Blue Gin comes from the Officine distillery located in Colmar in Alsace.
How is this gin made?
The magic happens with this fresh and floral gin that features notes of green apple, basil, and wasabi.
After distillation a maceration of flowers will bring him this blue color (natural dye) which will change in purple/pink as soon as we dilute it with tonic.
This flower native to Thailand is sensitive to PH and will react with the acidity of the citric acid present for the preservation of the soda.
Why is it so popular?
In mixology, garnishes are often used to visually embellish the cocktail, but this gin alone puts on a show.
By tasting it you will have :
In tasting we have a beautiful freshness with a resolutely floral final which together will give a very consensual bouquet.
